What does it mean to become rooted in the land? How can we become better relatives to our greatest teacher, the Earth? In the days leading up to Earth Day, an invitation to consider these questions and take action to care for the gift of our planet.

Join with other interfaith communities to read Becoming Rooted: 100 Days of Reconnecting with Sacred Earth together, meet monthly with people of faith across Oregon, and participate in virtual gatherings with the author, Dr. Randy Woodley. Discussions with the author will occur at the January, February and April gatherings.

Ecumenical Ministries of Oregon and Interfaith Power & Light are hosting these monthly gatherings, called “Green Circles.” The monthly statewide gathering brings together people of faith from across Oregon to learn about issues of climate change, faith, justice…and to root ourselves spiritually as we build relationships and take action together.

Green Circle dates: third Tuesday of each month through June 2022 from 6:30 to 8 p.m., via Zoom. Sign up for the gatherings at: https://emoregon.org/event/green-circles/ (our “team” name is First Congregational Church UCC Eugene).
