Did you know?

  • That FCC aspires to become recognized by the National United Church of Christ office as a “Climate Justice Church”?
  • That as part of this process, FCC is in the early stages of developing a congregational climate initiative, led by the church’s newly formed “Green Team”?
  • That this process includes development of a church climate action plan, which has now been submitted to the FCC Church Board and approved?
  • That FCC is already a faith partner of Ecumenical Ministries of Oregon, whose projects include Oregon Interfaith Power and Light, which engages faith communities to strive for greater awareness and action on climate issues in respect for the sacredness of our planet?
  • That FCC is also exploring affiliation with the Interfaith Earthkeepers initiative, a joint project locally of Eugene-Springfield communities of faith committed to the care of creation?
