The amazing volunteers at First Congregational Church have agreed to expand their nurturing cooking to include Egan Warming Centers this year. This group has been providing hot nourishing meals for families at St Vincent de Paul’s Family Annex . Now, with funds provided by FCC through the Social Justice and Witness Committee, they have generously stepped up to provide casseroles for 7-10 nights this coming winter that will serve 75-90 people on nights when the shelter is open. The plan is to create casseroles, and then freeze them so they will be ready when needed. The first trail run cooking event has occurred, and there are 2 days worth of casseroles waiting in the freezer for the next time Egan Warming Centers are activated. If you would like to be involved and help prepare meals when needed, please contact Marsha Miller.
