Food Pantries, large cupboards filled with free useable food, have been springing up around Eugene-Springfield thanks to the design and build skills of Burrito Brigade.  Now FCC is happy to be hosting our own pantry that is located on Harris Street near the south entrance to the parking lot.

How will this work? The donated food in the  pantry is intended to be available to anyone in need.  It will be accessible for walkers, bicyclists, and those in cars.  Our church community, as well as neighbors and parents of preschool children, are invited to bring food to leave in the pantry.  Everyone is asked to participate in making sure it stays clean by tidying it up if there is old food or any trash.

We will be asking for volunteers to sign up to monitor the Pantry. If 8 people volunteer to check once a month, this will be sustainable and fairly straightforward, but we will need help with this. We are asking for a three month commitment, checking on the Pantry once per month.  Please indicate in the sign up below when you can stop by and do a quick monitoring of the Pantry (cleaning up in and around the pantry).
