Our 2020 Virtual Gathering was entitled, “UNITE through the Extraordinary!”, and was held the weekend of July 25-26, and into the following week. Events included an online immersive service project, centering on the lived experience of refugees, immigrants and migrant workers in the United States. Many workshops were offered including: Uniting for Justice through Faithful Sexuality Education, A Voice of Palestinian Youth, GMP (General Minister & President) meets NYE, Mindfulness in times of change, Deaf community ministry, advocacy and ASL, Back to School 3 B’s, and “I want You(th) to Make a Difference!” The virtual gathering culminated Sunday with a beautiful online worship, featuring Trayce Potter, among others.

Later in the week, on Tuesdays for Nurture and Thursdays for the Soul, our denomination hosted 2 listening sessions. The first centered around hearing from BIPOC (Black, Indigenous & People of Color) individuals, and the second session on Thursday was an opportunity to hear from white voices; both sessions were very educational, awakening and inspirational. Both of these “No Justice, No Peace!” sessions are now available as recordings on YouTube, just type into the YouTube search bar: No Justice No Peace: Youth & Young Adult Racial Justice Rally.

United we are stronger!
