Welcome!

On behalf of the congregation and staff of First Congregational United Church of Christ, Welcome! It is our hope that the information on these pages will be both informative and intriguing. As Senior Minister, I am deeply honored to be part of this vibrant and hope-filled ministry.
We are a community more curious than certain. We are serious about faith, but try not to take ourselves too seriously. We value both study and service. We are concerned with the challenges present in our community and in the wider world and we endeavor to support our sisters and brothers who must meet challenges we cannot fathom by walking alongside them. We are nourished by prayer, inspired by the creative gifts of all ages, and determined to make a difference in the world. We are also a community that is continually unfolding. If you choose to be part of us, you will enrich our church community and help enliven our ministry through your passion and gifts.
If you are new to the challenge of finding a church, let me offer some advice. Searching for a church home is a bit like courting. To find the right match takes some time and a degree of patience. Often, it is a feeling that arises in your heart when you have found the right place.
I invite you to take a close look at our website. See if the ministry and people of FCC might resonate with who you are now and who you long to become. See if this community of faith might be what you are looking for and whether we might help you to feel embraced and at home; a place to deepen your faith and bring meaning to your life. Then, visit us! Come on Sunday morning for Education Hour at 9 a.m. and/or worship at 10 a.m. Or join us for a special activity that is listed on our calendar. See if your initial impressions about us ring true and whether your heart tells you that you have truly found your new church home. Please, let me know if I can be of assistance in helping you get settled.
I look forward to the opportunity to share this journey with you!
