The FCC Endowment Fund
Deep below the Cascade Mountains to our east lies an aquifer that is the source of the mighty McKenzie River. Fed by snow melt, the aquifer serves as a huge reservoir many times larger than the annual flow of the river. The high volume of the aquifer assures that the river springs forth even during the most severe drought, thereby sustaining our forest and valley ecosystems.
The FCC Endowment is like an aquifer for our church. Fed by contributions from church members over many years, we honor the faith that donors have placed in the fund by assuring that it will provide growth and income for FCC in perpetuity. The Endowment Committee knows it has a fiduciary responsibility in overseeing investments to assure this outcome. We do so by preserving the corpus (or principal) of the fund and using the income from investments to expand our reservoir while also flowing resources annually to support church ministries and student scholarships. To learn more about the endowment, we encourage you to attend an information session in the Chapel at 11 a.m. on Sunday, March 22, right after the church service.
The FCC Endowment is truly a gift that keeps on giving. We offer an opportunity for you to donate now, through participation in our traditional Easter Memorial Dedication on April 5. It is a beautiful way for you to honor and remember people who have been important parts of your life. Information on how to participate will be coming in future messages.
