The Social Justice and Witness Committee is partnering with NAACP Eugene-Springfield to collect electronic devices (iphones, ipads, laptops) that are in good working order and can be used by youth in our community. Devices should be able to be used with WiFi and be 5 years old or newer so that youth can access relevant apps.

Devices should have personal information removed before donation.  Clean the personal information from your devices by returning it to factory settings. On Apple related products,

  1. Go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone or iPad.
  2. Then tap “Erase All Content and Settings”.

NAACP does not have the volunteer/staff time to erase laptops or other devices, so if you have a laptop in good working order that you would like to donate but it needs to be re-set, or if you can volunteer to help someone in our congregation, contact the Social Justice committee at justiceandwitness@fcceugene.org.

Drop off devices at the church in the “copy machine” room adjacent to the main church office between now and August 1, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Be sure to include cords and chargers and put in a bag or wrap securely together. Thank you!
