Over the past year and most recently during our Longest Night Taizé service, our Healing Ministries Team has been offering a powerful, prayerful presence within our worshiping life. Throughout the year, team members have been available during communion for spoken healing prayer, and they have also stepped forward with care and confidence during special services.

On the Winter Solstice, the longest night of the year, the team gathered with remarkable attentiveness, compassion, and grounded energy. Together, they offered healing prayer and anointing, creating a space of deep reverence, love, and gentle accompaniment. Many who came forward have since shared heartfelt gratitude – some through written notes, others through tears – expressing how meaningful and healing the prayer and anointing were for them.

This ministry is the fruit of nearly two years of learning, discernment, and faithful practice. These volunteers show up with humility, courage, and trust in the Spirit, holding space for grief, hope, longing, and renewal. Their quiet faithfulness embodies what it means to be a community of care.

We offer deep thanks for each member of the Healing Ministries Team, and for the love, presence, and prayer they share so freely. Their ministry is a blessing and a gift to our congregation – a living expression of God’s healing grace among us.

With deep gratitude for all gifts given,
Pastor Mark
