MealTrain ministry provides meals to congregants who need some TLC. It might be because of surgery, illness, bereavement, or a family going through a rough spell. If a family is in need, they contact Dana in the church office. She, in turn, lets the coordinator know of the request. The coordinator then makes contact with the family to find out important details, such as allergies, food likes and dislikes, the length of providing meals, how many people, etc. Our providers are good at preparing meals that have special requests. The coordinator then sets up the MealTrain which is a very handy system that works through email. The providers on the list get the email and then sign up for the day that they can provide a meal.

We have about 10 dedicated meal providers who tend to sign up each time. We would like to add more folks to this list so when we get several requests, we have enough folks to cover them. You can sign up in the Connections notebooks on the welcoming table in the lobby or by calling Dana in the office.

Therefore, there are two ways to get involved. First, if your family needs help, please let the church know. Secondly, if you are able to fix a meal, please sign up. This is a great ministry that is very much appreciated by the recipients, and a way to get to know more people in the congregation.
