We bid farewell in April to Frank Spangler, our church’s cheerful and resourceful Facilities Manager, who relocated to Minnesota. When Frank stepped into this role last July, all was quiet in the church, and yet the buzz was building for the congregation and others to return to indoor worship and gatherings. We are so grateful for his collaborative work with staff and the committee and for honoring and visualizing the needs of a congregation he had yet to meet.
Frank organized the equipment and storage needs for serving young and old in outdoor gatherings, removed doors between classrooms for the new Kids Community, and dove into facilitating improvements to Congregational Preschool made possible by a significant grant. These projects showcased Frank’s ability to be nimble in forecasting solutions, equipment needs and subcontractors, all while meeting the grant timelines. We’ll miss Frank and his versatility and wish him well in his next adventure!
