The two Parkside homes on the south side of FCC property are currently occupied.

For those new to our congregation, Saint Vincent de Paul owns and maintains the homes and placed them at our request. The current residents at Parkside are low-income persons in SVdP’s affordable permanent supported housing program. SVdP acts as landlord and offers support services.

History: FCC provides the beautiful setting for the SVdP homes. A few years before the pandemic, FCC members on the Housing Initiative Committee studied housing shortage, offered adult ed programs to generate a deeper understanding of being unhoused, and planned the infrastructure for two modular homes.

Next: The Housing Initiative Committee has reserve funds to build a fence around the dwellings to provide privacy. We are presently taking bids from fence companies. We hope all current and future residents at Parkside feel the beauty of the setting and the warmth of a home, to help them live toward the dreams they imagine for their future.
