At home . . .

• compost plant-based food scraps. Use the soil created to enrich your garden or flower beds 

• use and wash cloth napkins instead of paper napkins

• use cloth towels and rags instead of paper towels

• use aluminum foil instead of plastic wrap

• rent equipment you use infrequently, like chainsaws or carpet cleaners

• repair appliances or equipment instead of replacing it

• buy recycled toilet paper (yes, it exists)

• use plastic wastebasket liners more than once
