FCC has been involved in a food ministry with SVdP’s Annex Family Shelter for over 30 years. The program houses approximately 60 people at a time in the Annex building where the families can stay 24/7 as they wait for permanent housing.
This year we are providing a hot dinner on the second Saturday and a cold breakfast on the second Sunday of the month. We prepare the dinners in our church kitchen under the guidance of a Lead Cook. The FCC Shelter Team will shop for the perishable food.
Here are your opportunities to be of service to our community:
COOK FOR THE SHELTER (Saturdays)
Be one of the 3 assistants to the Lead Cook in the FCC kitchen to create a meal, clean up and deliver the meal to The Annex at 6 p.m. The meal may include entre, vegetable, salad, bread and cookies.
If you would like to donate towards our mission, make sure to choose “Annex Family Shelter” after you click on our secure link HERE.
BUY NON-PERISHABLE CASSEROLE INGREDIENTS
Sign up to purchase specific items to stock our shelves with 4 months of casserole recipe ingredients (click button below).
We will be collecting the ingredients downstairs on January 21, 2024 before and after church.
