Leslie Schuld from CIS (Centro de Intercambio y Solidaridad, the organization we work with in El Salvador on the island of Tasajera) sent an update last week. Five students are graduating from high school this year (their school year ends in December). Three would like to pursue studies at the university (areas of interest: dentistry, veterinary medicine, pharmacy). One student graduated from the University in education.

For the coming year, there will be 13 university students and 10 high school students. Each of these students is involved not only in their studies, but also in improvement projects for the island, such as programs to improve water quality, and to improve Internet access for both students and community members.
