The May 9 restoration event at Turtle Flats was a tremendous success! With beautiful weather and a wonderful turnout from across our faith communities, volunteers planted more than 500 trees and bare-root native plants along the floodplain restoration site.

This season, Friends of Buford Park & Mt. Pisgah planted more than 17,000 native plants throughout the restoration area, with Interfaith Earthkeepers contributing over 1,300 of those plantings during the 2026 season.

Together, we continue to witness signs of hope and renewal as the habitat heals and native species return to the area. Thank you to everyone who came out to dig, plant, learn, and care for this sacred place. Every small act of restoration matters, and together we are helping nurture a healthier future for generations to come.
